District Issues & Priorities

As I go door to door in the district talking with voters, I am learning a lot by simply listening to people’s stories and ideas. The people of this district deserve leaders in Salem with the passion, energy and commitment to make great things happen. Here are some issues that I have talked with voters about and which will become my priorities if I am elected to represent House District 45.

Neighborhood Viability

A lack of affordable housing is becoming a threat to neighborhood livability across Oregon. Cyreena is committed to work to increase the number of affordable housing projects in Oregon so our communities can thrive!

Make health care affordable

Kids can't learn and their parents can't earn a living if they're not healthy. Cyreena Boston supports affordable health care for every single person in Oregon.

Strengthen our schools

Schools are the center of our neighborhoods. The Legislature must adequately fund our schools and support the educators who inspire our next generation of leaders.

Reduce global warming

Our dependence on oil is poisoning our environment and threatening our future. Cyreena supports renewable energy policies that create jobs, reduce greenhouse gases, and lower our dependence on foreign oil.

Protect our fundamental rights

Cyreena Boston will protect our rights by defending reproductive choice for all women and working to end discrimination based on sexual orientation.

Workforce Development

Economic empowerment is vital to our future. Our state needs to do more to help create living-wage jobs. We must protect a worker's right to join a union, support our small businesses and create a skilled workforce by funding apprenticeship and job training programs.
